Recollections of a Beach Weekend
I know that I’ve been tardy in getting this post up, but life has been a little insane (I know, I know, the common excuse of the blogger these days).
A few weeks ago, we had the Julie, Dan and Audrey Flood over to the beach and enjoyed a weekend of cooking, walking on the beach and relaxing (and lots of Internet, which has become an unavoidable habit of ours).
The boys made chocolate truffles with orange zest and orange marmalade in them, which were very yummy.
I ate way too many and then I was up late staring at the ceiling because my tolerance for caffeine is so low. Ridiculous!
We cooked pasta (Eric’s favorite spicy spaghetti) and also ate at the Pelican Brewpub once more (we can’t avoid it sometimes!) This time I had the Asian salad and it was really tasty.
Overall, we had a great weekend with great friends and we enjoyed ourselves! We have now left the beach and are back in the Portland area for now, where we’re in a bit of a holding pattern while we decide what the next step is. I will be so relieved when we can make some decisions about settling down a little and sticking to a plan! Also, I’ll be posting about my adventures in Las Vegas tomorrow.

Thanks again, so much for having us! We really had a fun time with you guys and appreciated the awesomeness of your husband in the kitchen. You are loved (and missed).
I think someone was playing with a flashlight in my face. That or I was a beam of light shining on me from heaven.
I like to think it was the later.
Ha! Dan is so annoying with that flash-light of his. That’s why we call him “flash-flood!”…
