Fresh, fresh, fresh pizza
After last night’s display of decadence, we laid low today, going for a couple of strolls throughout the day and dining at our street’s pizza joint, Bakano, which served us a completely wonderful pizza covered in fresh mozzarella cheese, fresh tomato slices and fresh basil leaves.
It’s a cozy spot with a wood-fired pizza oven where they make pizza, calzones and empanadas, and they have a couple of delivery boys who roll in on their rollerblades every few minutes to take another load of fresh-baked goodness to someone’s apartment nearby.
After dinner, we took a jaunt around the neighborhood (it was a nice, cool night and we were very full of pizza) and we walked past our favorite ice cream store, Persicco. We had to laugh when we saw this little girl crashed at a table inside. Ice cream overload!
Now this pizza looks like a healthy choice!
